The antidote, perhaps, to Wired let down a little by its uncritical embrace of the hegemonic Western-liberal-democratic political status quo as a position from which to critique the cyber-utopian outlook.

I love Stephenson’ novel. When I started reading I was a little worried it was going to be all witches and goblins gobblegook but once again Stephenson pulled off a hugely entertaining and completely absorbing novel of geekery, mixing science fact and science fiction in an utterly compelling way. Rocking.
